Ok so… it’s the 1st semester of my 3rd year at university. Wow it’s flown by.
We were asked to select from a number of directions and products.
I have chosen the theme Flora & Fauna producing a collection for Couture Wallpaper. How exciting!
So lots of inspirational walks and vists to beautiful florists.
Below is my mood wall/board so far which is coming along nicely.
I am hoping to create dark backgrounds, night folk colour theme, dark blooms and vintage flowers.

These three designs are some of my most favourite of all!
Now i wait for my tea towels to be printed so i can make them pretty!

I have started to add my designs onto products to sell.
I think stationary really works with my designs.
For the second half of my project I have decided to make tea Towels as one of my final collections for the Museum Shop and notebooks.
I will need to look at how my designs sit within these products and then research on how to price and package my products.
Starting to play around with how they will look together.
I will be using the left and middle designs however may miss out the right.
This is one of my favourite pieces of work!!
Hand dyed fabric using acid dyes! I love the colours and how abstract it looks.
I have used this within other designs 🙂
I have finally started to get fabric samples digitally printed!
Everything seems to be coming together finally!
I don’t think i will use all of the above samples within my final collection but it shows how my work is slowly coming together 🙂
I have again been playing with my sketchbook and reusing small images to put into repeat!

I have been playing around with sketches & images i have created in my sketchbook that i haven’t managed to use with in my choice for final pieces for either the Museum Shop or Museum Gallery.
I have made a simple pattern with this collage – I think it would look lovely as packaging or gift wrap! Inspiration taken from Oliver Bona’s work!
